What Does Our Future Look Like?

Intimate partner violence is an ongoing phenomonon that passes through generations of families. There are many things that an individual can do to stop this cycle from occuring.

One of the main reasons that women do not talk to thier kids about this abuse is because they are embarassed by it.  The first step in eliminating this situation is to step away from the shame that comes along with intimate partner abuse.  It is not the victims fault and it is important to teach younger generations to take a stand for themselves.

If the cycle does not end, then our children will experience unnecessary intimate partmer abuse.  Opening up and letting younger women know how to stand up for themselves is how we can prevent our future from looking like this.
